Talkeetna Trip with Grammy and Grandpa
We are so lucky! Grammy and Grandpa came for another visit right after the boys got out of school and took us on a train trip up to Talkeetna, AK. The weather was just beautiful! The sky was so clear and we could see Denali the entire time we were there. They say only Denali is only cloud free about 30% of the time, so this was great! I got some great pictures on the way up there, but then my camera died and I ended up taking to a repair shop later.

This mountain is called Sleeping Lady. Do you see her?

Exit Glacier Again
Of course we had to visit Exit Glacier again with new family in town. It is so beautiful and easy to access. This time we had along professional photographer, Elizabeth Homan (Click Here for Elizabeth's Website ) She has done many portrait sessions with us and my mom just had to have her come take some pictures of us in Alaska!

Dinner Cruise Again!
My Parents and my grandparents came to visit us toward the end of the summer. We got to enjoy the dinner cruise in Seward, AK again with them. We didn't see as many animals this time. Bummer! The scenery was as beautiful as ever though!
We did see an otter! He was just as cute as I thought he would be!

Happy Birthday Eli and Lucy!
On one of the last days of the Cox Family visit, we held a joint birthday party for Eli and Lucy's birthdays (Eli a little late, and Lucy a little early). Lucy is turning one and Eli just turned two. We were very glad to celebrate with family!

Talkeetna
Our next trip was to the town of Talkeetna, AK. This is a small tourist town near Denali National Park. We were hoping to see a view of Denali (or Mt. McKinley as those outside Alaska call it), but it was grey and cloudy all day. Denali is the highest peak in North America. James, the kids, an I have seen it a couple of times on very clear days. We wish we could have shared it with our family!
William outside of West Rib Pub & Grill. This restaurant was on an episode of Man vs. Food (he didn't do a food challenge here though)
We looked at all the shops in town and then went down to the river.
