Week 29 ~ July 17-23
So you may have noticed that I skipped a week here. I guess we just got busy and I forgot to take pictures. I did technically take 4 pictures during week 28, but they were pictures of stick figure drawings that James drew for his online masters course. Our scanner wasn't working and so I took pictures in order to get them posted for his assignment.
Anyway, on to week 29. We were in San Antonio enjoying time with our family this week. (YAY!) We threw a belated birthday party in San Antonio for Elijah, so that family and friends could celebrate with him. I had so much fun planning this party! I think it was a big success as well!

These are soooo tasty! Mmmm.... I want to make some more now!

A failed attempt at pictures
Normally I am a very observant person, but we had been living in our house for several months when I noticed for the first time there was this rusted out old truck at the edge of a field that we pass EVERY time we drive out of the neighborhood. Ummmm ... what a great location to take pictures! So I headed out on day with all three kids and my camera in tow. As it turned out the truck may have been a little too rusted out and by the time we got there the kids (especially the baby) were not in the mood for pictures.

10 on the ....errrr
So I really meant to do a 10 on the 10th this month. (Last month too, I even had my ten things down on paper) I was having internet connection problems with my laptop yesterday (really need to get that looked at!) and honestly, I fell asleep early last night. So, here is this months ten things late again.
1. We had a wonderful visit to San Antonio. Can't believe we probably won't be back for two years!
2. While we were in San Antonio we got to welcome a niece to the family! Little Lucy is precious and I am planning to be a fabulous auntie!
3. Also while we were in San Antonio, I went to my 10 year high school reunion. I loved catching up with people! Such a great time!
4. Eli is officially walking! Well, actually now he is running.
5. Pinterest.com I'm in love with this site. Enough said.
6. William and Benjamin have both started school and we are all adjusting to the new schedule. I think they both like their teachers and their class.
7. James is currently doing training back in Oklahoma. When he is done he will be an instructor pilot.
8. James got the most important call of his life ..... the University Of Oklahoma Ticket Office called and offered him season tickets! He has been on the waiting list for almost ten years!
9. I wish I could type the way Ben talks. His teacher told me a cute thing he said in school and it is so much cuter if you can imagine his voice and body lanuage. Anyway, the kids and I have talked about Pluto and how it used to be considered a planet and now has lost planet status. So in class he tells his teacher "Pluto is a planet. Well actually, now it isn't a planet .... *tilts his head to the side* but really it is." LOL!
10. William had surgery on his eyes on Wednesday. He was so brave. I am so proud of him! Everything went well and he is healing nicely.

Project 52 - Week 26
Week 26 ~ June 26-July 2
This week we decided to check out the Planet Walk downtown. It starts with the sun in the heart of downtown, goes down 5th street, and then follows the coastal trail. Pluto (must have made several years ago before poor little Pluto was striped of its planet status) is a five hour walk from the sun, so needless to say we did not get to Pluto. We did however make it to Jupiter. The walking time between planets is supposed to be the same as the time it would take for light to travel between the planets.
The boys by some landscaping downtown
In reality quite a few of my pictures turn out like this

Project 52 - Week 25
As you can probably guess, I seriously need to play catch up on the blog so here we go!
Week 25 ~ June 19-25
Ben was on a little soccer team this summer. And when I say little I am not just talking about the size of the players. They played 3 on 3, so there were only six kids on the team. He had a great time!
Taking a shot during practice
With his coach!
Doing drills. The little blond boy in grey shorts behind Ben is absolutely adorable and as it turned out his older brother was on William's tee ball team.
