Easter Egg Hunting ~ 2014

 

 The Easter Bunny came a day early this year so that both sets of grandparents could be there.  The boys were a little skeptical about that since we have always done it on Easter morning!  They had fun though!  It has been a few years since we have been able to hide eggs outside!

Strawberry Picking!

Drove a little ways up the highway to go strawberry picking.  Loved this place because the strawberries were grown vertically and we didn't have to get down on the ground to pick them!  We ended up bringing home about 11 pounds of strawberries!

 

The owner's son showed us these baby birds who had a nest among the strawberries.  They hatched that morning!  He told us they had looked the day before and none of the eggs had hatched yet.

Bluebonnets!

It's bluebonnet season in Texas!  We have never been in town at just the right time to take pictures of the kids in the bluebonnets before.  It was a challenge though!  I think I need two assistants next time!  One to get everyone to smile and look the right way and one to hold a reflector.  

Baseball Season!

Will's Alpha Play

The Alpha program is what Will's school calls Gifted and Talented.  This year they learned all about law and order.  The kids got in groups and wrote plays.  The plays were made up courtroom trails of different characters from classic childhood stories.  William's group put the Big Bad Wolf from the 'Three Little Pigs' story on trial.  He played a mouse that was a witness to some of the wolf's actions.

 

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Working on the Science Fair

William's science fair project was on the conductivity to different liquids.  He a Papa set up an electrical path with a light bulb and probes to put in the liquid to see if the bulb would light up.  It was pretty neat!

100th Day of School

On the 100th day of school the kids in William's class dressed up like they were 100 years old.  Here is William.  Isn't he cute!  We put white body paint in his hard and it looked perfect!

 

Card Games

This game can be hilarious!  Especially with a three year old who has trouble keeping secrets!

 

A Cutie After His Bath
