Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

Our second stop on the way home from Seward was the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.  This is a great place to see animals native to Alaska!

This guy decided to come check out the people checking him out!

Baby animals!

Love these flowers!  The remind me of the bluebonnets back home in Texas!

Exit Glacier

The next day we drove home to Anchorage, but we made two stops along the way.  Our first stop was Exit Glacier.  Exit Glacier is in the Kenai Fjords National Park.  We took a mile long hike that leads you up to the side of the glacier.  Our day started off cloudy and cool, but warmed up really nicely!  This post may have an overload of pictures.  It was just so pretty out there!

Driving to the glacier.  You can see how grey and cold it was.

Starting to clear up.

Starting the hike.

Getting warm!

Starting to see the glacier.

Getting closer!  Had to take our jackets off it was so warm.

You can see the blue tinge in the glacier now.

Up next to the glacier is cold because the cold of the ice causes wind.
Pretty views on the way out too!

View from the road as we drove out.

Seward Dinner Cruise

When we got to Seward, we took a dinner cruise to see some AMAZING Alaska wildlife.  We got really lucky and saw mother and baby humpback whales and some sea lions!  It is really luck of the draw to see them, so this was a good night!

Mommy and baby whale!

The baby was really active!

Dinner was served at a stop on Fox Island.  This is how Ben skips rocks on the shore of Fox Island.
