The boys and I are working on a fun project! We put together a "Summer To Do" list. I first saw the idea over on the Eighteen25 blog . Wal-mart didn't have the same size frame, but the one we got was plenty big enough. We have already check a few to-do's off. Check out our fort! The boys watched Toy Story 2 in it.

Project 52 - Week 23
Week 23 ~ June 5-11
We are still on our quest to find great fishing. This week we went down to Ship Creek to try our hand at catching a King Salmon. As you can see from the pictures, we were not the only ones fishing for kings that day! This is as close as we have been so far to "combat fishing." This wasn't as bad as some of the stories we have heard about combat fishing on the Russian River though.

10 on the 10th - July
1. Eli took his first steps this week! Of course he prefers to walk to Daddy, the little stinker!
2. The days are finally getting shorter, but it will still be a while before we can tell.
3. The boys have been having an exciting weekend! This week was the annual Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River. We spent two nights riding carnival rides, looking at classic cars, and eating caramel apples and shaved Hawaiian ice. We also watched the parade Saturday morning.
4. Fourth of July fireworks go off at midnight here. It was not dark then. Just sayin'.
5. The boys have made friends with a little girl across the street. Her name is Jordan. They ask everyday if they can go outside and see if Jordan is out.
6. James was named Pilot of the Quarter for the entire wing!
7. Our trip to San Antonio is coming up soon!
8. We signed up for the library's summer reading program. The boys are super motivated to read and fill up their charts. I hope they aren't to disappointed by the cheap prizes they will get at the end!
9. This is the first house we have lived in since we got married that has carpet. Apparently, we are very messy. Anyone have a carpet cleaner that they just love and want to recommend?
10. Found several spots on Eli. Chicken Pox? Bug bites? I guess we will see soon.

Newest Member of the Family
Since we are now pet-less (the dog, Dixie, is living with James' parents and the cat, Jasmin, is living with mine) we let the boys get a hamster. James owned two hamsters as a kid (not at the same time). They were named Fritzy and Fritzy II, so this one was appropriately named Fritzy III. The boys love her and we are trying to keep them from loving her a little too much!
